No display on my iPad only sound

Hi

When I woke up this morning, i tried to unlock my Ipad, but when i pressed the wake button, it didn't respond. First i thought the battery was empty, but then i realized that it was connected to the charger all night. Then i tried to restart, but I couldn't even restart, because i can't see the red slider. Then I accidently made a screencapture and i heard the screencapture sound. So, what can be the problem? I can't unlock the device (no display), can't restart ( again no display)

i can connect it to iTunes and I also can hear the sound when I connect it.

iPad Mini-OTHER, iOS 7.0.4, It's an iPad Mini (the first one)

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
